AFE3 has two protected inputs for fully isolated voltage (up to ±480 V) and current (up to ±10 A) measurement which in combination with an additional two inputs can be used to safely measure the power and efficiency of the device on the primary and secondary side (e.g. AC/DC or isolated DC/DC converters). It uses a high-resolution ADC with simultaneous sampling that allows more accurate power recording using two inputs and efficiency when all four inputs are used.
The module has 8-pin 3.81 mm connector accessible via the MIO module front panel thanks to which it is possible to quickly and easily connect the wires without the need for an additional breakout box. 2-, 4- or 8-way pluggable female terminal connector blocks in low-profile push-in and screw-fasten variants can be used to connect the wires.
