The new EEZ Studio Milestone 19 (version 0.13.0) is complete and publicly available.

The central task of this milestone is to add support for non-SCPI communication for all those gadgets, devices and instruments that do not have implemented support for SCPI.

An integral part of that task was the addition of two IEXTs (Instrument EXTension) for Generic Serial and the popular low-cost TinySA spectrum analyzer and signal generator.

Terminal for non-SCPI instruments allows receiving streams of data that can be displayed sequentially.

The received data stream can be subsequently visualized by creating a graph. It is also possible to activate graph plotting at the very beginning of receiving data so that the graph is drawn interactively. The graph can contain more than one trace.

IEXT for TinySA devices also offers graph drawing, it has help to make it easier to enter commands.

For TinySA devices there is also a dashboard project example that can be used as a template for new dashboards that include work with TinySA:

This milestone also addresses a number of improvements and reported user issues primarily related to LVGL support for embedded GUI projects. The number of users is growing and EEZ studio has now been downloaded more than 10,000 times.
