Modular Test & Measurement – Compact, Hackable, Upgradeable

The new EEZ BB3+ in coming…

The EEZ BB3+ represents the successor to the BB3 project, which would bring a series of modifications and improvements starting from the MCU/CPU slot for a replaceable main processor, support for an external high resolution monitor, a larger TFT display with a capacitive touchscreen panel. The possibility of installing a half-width DIB module allows adding more functions in an even more compact enclosure with better cooling with a larger fan.

Quick Facts

  • Up to 5 DIB2 peripheral modules
  • Soft-power switch with power-on indication
  • Isolated RS485 port (with Modbus support)
  • Power/Sense terminals for the first two modules on the rear panel
  • MCU/CPU module slot Raspberry Pi CM5 compatible
  • M.2 slot, Key M (for NVMe SSD)
  • External digital display output (e.g. HDMI® compatible): GUI and data could be displayed simultaneously on TFT and external display
  • USB 2.0/3.0 Hub
  • USB-A x2 and USB-C ports
  • 10/100/1000 Mbit Ethernet port
  • New DIB2 specification for peripheral modules communication introducing QSPI, USB 2.0/3.0 and PCIe
  • CE certified design
  • Open source

Typical applications

  • Product development and debugging
  • Laboratories and educational facilities
  • Quality control and assessment
  • Automobile electronic circuit testing
  • Production automation testing
  • Device or circuit characteristic verification and troubleshooting
